Default Fiesta zetec S extremely hard ride? Help

The suspension is standard at the moment but is very hard and you feel every little bump especially at the rear, so thought uprating the suspension is the next thing to do.

Has anyone had this problem?

The whole car is stiff but the rear is very hard and just seems to wack into the car over any little bump

Cheers

It's passed it's MOT with no advisories so I'm quite confused.

What should I look for before I go spend money on this?

I've got a mk7 fiesta zetec s and its a very hard ride. It's so hard i got flat spots on 2 of my wheels.

I'm not to sure if its the suspension or the 40 profile tyres that make it so harsh.

what shape fiesta is it? My wife's old mk6 fiesta was a hard ride and that was just a normal 1.4 zetec model, nothing sporty about it at all. Most aftermarket suspension parts are for performance and handling so would just make the problem worse I'd have thought. Only thing you could do is fit smaller wheels with a bigger profile tyre.

It's this shape mate

It just seems rediculously hard, it's on 45 profile tyres I know that wont help but everything is standard just can't Believe how hard it is lol

I've allways wanted to lower the car as I've allways thought they sit up high.
Was thinking koni adjustables as I have fitted them to a mates 172 and the ride was quite comfortable alot nicer and smoother than my fiesta!!

Are you sure no one's fitted uprated dampers already?

If you go with some aftermarket suspension it won't be softer. The most sensible option if ride comfort is your aim is to fit some wheels from a lesser model with higher sidewalls. Will look a bit kack though.

Yeah don't really want to change the wheels to be honest love the wheels on it.
Just seems ridiculously hard for standard in my option

Sounds like someone's had to replace the std shocks are they probably started leaking. Then they've fitted cheap replacements

I would take a good look at the set up, maybe the picture angle but looks a little lowered as it is so may be after market set up on it.

They aren't a rolls but they aren't what I would call harsh on the ride.

Perhaps it's the fact it's a sporty car?
Makes me laugh when people complain about the ride quality on sporty cars

I have a mk6 zetec s tdci and have just fitted -35mm springs to the standard shocks and the ride feels absolutely fine to me. A little bit firm which is what I wanted but still very comfortable.

It feels like driving a fluffy white cloud compared to my other cars which are both on coilovers/poly bushed.
