I have an a reg rs1600i witch has had a 2.1 turbo convertion but I have cracked the block. But un sure what block to get to replace it because I dont no what year mondeo it came out off . If any one knows of what one to use please help. Or if you no of one for sale would be a great help. Thanks people

 

2.1 what? Zetec?

 

Its a zetec 2.0 mondeo bottom running on cvh turbo head. Not sure what mondeo its out of I think its of the silver top mondeo engine just not sure what year

 

easy to tell m8, if the oil filter is directly mounted to the block near the middle then its a black top engine, if its mounted towards the drivers side on the oil pump then its a silver top, doesnt matter what year you use as long as its either black or silver top, you will need to get it rebored to take the 2.1 pistons as they are 86mm and the standard bore is 84.6mm.

Ezy slider are you defo sure it dont matter what year thr block its out off long as its the same as a siliver top . Cause thats whats in mine . Some one els said there different

as above get a silver top zetec block and have it rebored, dont for get new rings for your pistons too
