Ive been looking into putting a puma racing lump into a mk5 1.25 but when i look on the puma speed website it doesnt seem to show an option for a puma lump but i heard they did? I see other tuning options starting at 400 and finishing at 1500. but no options for the puma racing engine and i imagined it would be more £. Anybody know if they've stopped doing this or if they ever did this for a 1.25 Ill probably give them a ring maybe tomorrow or monday. With pumaspeed, is it a case of if and when they have the parts? Or can some things be ordered:S

Im having a zetec s bodykit and a full respray. And want a puma lump bad. Anyone got any ideas? Anyone want to scout their website for me? Thanks in advance.

 

Anyone know anything about this? Someone must of tried it or know if a 1.25 chassis can support a puma racing engine?

 

chassis can handle it but really need to upgrade running gear to zs spec then I have to ask why not just get a zs in first place as its a better place to start, and remember you need to declare it as I 1.7 if you go through with it or your ins will be void

 

Right so im in 2 minds. Buy a different car or tune and repray my mk5. If got a 5k budget and could get a decent second hand st but i prefer the look of the mk5 zs, there zetec would be much faster too. There arnt many good mk5s on the road anymore and its becoming a classic lol. What would you do?

 

look for a mk5 zetec s which already has the puma engine in (quite a few on ebay) and then just pay for the parts to get it to frp spec
