Default any tyre gurus? Q about tyreweld..

ive not long put T1Rs on my puma, and want to ditch the spare and just carry a can of tyre weld. however, i dont want to end up needing to replace the tyre due to a simple puncture because of the tyreweld shit.

can a tyre thats been 'tyrewelded' be repaired and reused? or is it scrap?

i was always led to believe that the tyre was buggered and the wheel would need attention too.

If it's a similar formula to expanding builders foam then it's horrible shit to get off and i could believe that it would fuck a wheel. I'm no expert though, and could well be corrected by someone in the know.

it won't leave the tyre un repairable it's just most tyre centres can't be arsed to clean it out so just sell you a new one

Yup, most places wont want to touch it, plus it's useless if you get a hole any bigger than a pin prick as it'll just piddle out the hole. If you really want to ditch the spare, what I would do is not bother with either then if you are travelling a distance from home, chuck it in the car just in case!

Have you thought about getting the tyres injected with some puncture repair liquid? Had it done before in the past, was about £30 a tyre but lasts for the life of the tyre and instantly seals any punctures you might get. Just a thought.
