can anybody tell me if this is a rs500 rim ? it came in spare wheel well of my sapphire , looks like the dunlop d40 tyre has seen very little driving,if any . any ideas of their value ?

 

I would say yes, no idea about the price though.

 

It does look like a 3dr/500 rim (they are the same).
D40 is a later one not an original 3dr/500 tyre as the tread wear marker ran around the centre of the tyre in the central groove.
This one look to have the tread wear indicator across the tyre.

Thats my understanding of what you have.

 

I've got a stack of spare 3dr alloys in my garage ready for re-furb, and the only thing I can see that looks like a part number on the is V86BB-AA
They also have what I presume is a production date indicated by a little circle with the year in the middle with the month indicated by a circle of dots round it (6 dots = June)
