Hi all. so last week i went and collected 2 new doors for the 3 door, one door is new and never been fitted to car (drivers side) and the passenger side is off a 20k car. Both my doors are rusty which is why i wanted to replace them. The car is white

Question is i want to get these painted and fitted but want to try and avoid having the wings and quarters painted aswell .

Who has done it and got away with it ? Ive been told by a few they will stand out like a sore thumb

 

can you not get the car to some where you can match the paint by taking a picture thingy like they do? The paint will be mixed accordingly then .

 

a decent sprayer will be able to fade the paint out onto the doors and quarters and you would never tell it was done in my experience though 80% of painters dont seem to be able to do this anymore its only the old school painters who tend to be able

 

The guy i use is in his 50's and been doing it for years.He ssaid paint the doors ,fit them etc then if you notice it he will blow the wings and quarters in .

£180 per door ,painted , removing all the items from my old door and re fitting
