Default mondeo tddi mondeo tddi vaccum noise when accelerating

hi, all im hoping someone can help me with my problem!!
I have a vaccum noise when accelerating on my 51plate mondeo tddi,
is there anything i should be checking with regards to any pipe work?

I forgot to say, the car starts and drive fine, apart from lack of power, and
thats i have no warning lights on dash!!!

Sounds like you have a split boost hose. Inspect them all for signs of oily residue (the split hose will be oily) and replace it.

You can see most of them from above. Just follow them out of the turbo, around the block, into the intercooler, then back out the other side.

This is for the TDCi but the layout is similar.

The 2001 TDDI will be a 5-speed, the boost hoses go over the gearbox, not under, so are completely different from that, that is a front mounted EGR, it might have a rear mounted EGR, which is totally different

The 2 hoses that split 1st are the one at the top that goes into the inlet manifold and the one below that near the bottom

Mostly, the hoses are accessable by opening the bonnet

have a listen with the engine running to help track it down
