Hi;I am new to the forum.

Ihave a 2002 2.5 V6 Mk3 mondeo and I need some help (not personally).

Ihave partially rounded of the bolts the hold the calliper and the bolts thehold the calliper carrier (terminology may be wrong). I would like to replacethe bolts will I still can for new ones; therein lies my problem.

Wherecan I get replacement bolts?

Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated.

 

A Ford dealer is your best bet.

 

how are you going to get carrier bolts out if theyre too rounded.Id stick an impact gun on em,wi a 6sided socket(not 12 pt).my 6850 would have em out in a jiffy.god i love this gun

 

Going to Ford tomorrow to buy the replacement bolts; ordering an irwin bolt remover set tonight and hopefully it should be sorted come the weekend.

 

I am in need of two bolts could you let me know what Frauds charge.

 

they are a couple of quid each for the caliper carrier bolts

if its the caliper bolts you need they wont sell them seperatly and youll have to fork out for a complete caliper kit @ around the Ł40 mark

been there done that, its made my free 300mm conversion Ł40 more expensive

 

Hi, so i went to Ford today and the bracket bolts cost me around Ł8 for 8 (2 per corner) and as dojj has pointed out the caliper bolts come as part of a repair kit costing around Ł40 per corner. I ended by the caliper bolts of ebay for Ł45+/- for 8 bolts. All in all in have spend around Ł55+/- for the 16 bolts thats about Ł3.5 per bolt. The repair kit comes with a few items and the one off ebay included the locating pins and the rubber bush/thingy.

 

Quick update; got all the bolts and repair kit on friday gone. I have changed the fronts and will be doing the rear tomorrow.
