Guys a have a stage 3 3 door cosworth with a MSD chip in a L6 ecu

I am interested in anti lag but don't know what I would need exactly so far I know I need a L8 and a chip from MSD but that's all I know

I have messaged Stu @ MSD but had no reply yet

I don't want to see people's opinions on me not needing it as its illegal etc I just like the sounds simple lol

 

i agree with you its very cool
think you need a diffrent idle speed control valve,throttle body it was a little while ago i was thinking about this so i may be wrong but worth checking .
i also read that it causes higher tempeture in the exhaust manifold and could damage it , the thing i did read said it would break the exhaust with the higher temps and between this and the other mods you have to make put me off the idea ... anti lag sounds soo good

 

sure it can be switched off or on so that would help depending where you where driving it
also think it shortens the turbos life

Anti lag is sweet I run that and launch control on the Evo with a MoTec but have to different boost settings etc for it! For the Evo it has a vacuum controlled throttle kicker to hold the throttle open, don't use it much tho as it will fill the sump with fuel or burn the blades off the turbo! Because you run negative timing and poor loads of fuel in the temps are fooking hot turns manifolds nice and red! As said tho only use it at Pod or for bit of a laugh when want to light all four wheels up or have flames from the exhaust lol you just have a switch to have it on or off but you will prob lose the brake servo to as you will be running boost off the throttle

 

A "Maram 247 shaft" is whats needed, this will stand up to the additional heat created, as well as the said mod to the ISCV, a L8 or higher ECU and a PF09 TPS.

I have it on mine along with launch control and i would say it's a fun little toy but to really get the most out of the system you need a 247 shaft as the longer it's on the better it appears to be, i haven't really had that much time on the road in mine but is sodding loud

 

Aren't Maram shafts like hens teeth though?

 

Yeh and cheapest second hand Maram shaft ive seen was 600quid!

Will be adding mild antilag to my L8 set up when i get mine on the raod. cant beat the sound
