My mondeo ST tdci estate
I'm putting my st tdci estate up for sale, it's hard to believe but it's not big enough! Now I have 3 kids, with booster seats, they can't all fit in! So my mrs is using the x5 and I'm smoke around to work in my escort van so this is just sitting wasted. I'm gutted as I love this car as it has everything you could ever want, heated front half leather seats, 6 cd in dash Sony cd player, power fold electric wing mirrors which have puddle lights. All windows are electric. It has esp break, rain sensor heated front screen, 18" alloys it goes on and on! The mileage is 160k, it's seems high but it has a full service history, the last was 3k ago. Since I have had it I have changed the oil, filter and fuel filter every 3k as well. The book is full of recipets which include one for a solid duel mass and fly wheel so I guess this has been done. Just had a brand new egr valve replaced and just had a service. She drives how she should, pulls lovely and smooth, gearbox is perfect. Only other things to note are she is a little jumpy when really cold, this last for a minute, 2 max, I have read upon this on the st owners as well as talk ford and it seems tobe a common thing on the 2.2 diesel engines.i have owned this for two years, and it hasnt got anyworse after the 2 mins she is fine all day. The alloys are slightly corroded,I always wanted to get them refuted in a metallic grey or black but never got around to it. 2 jacking points have been stolen as well. There is mot and tax until April, but I will happly put a new mot for the buyer if a deal is do e as she wants for nothing. I'm looking for about £3500 Ono which I think is quite a fair price. I'm in dagenham Essex

I had it up in the summer on eBay as a classiefied and just had a load of messers, then really didn't have the heart to putti up again as its proberbly the best car I've owned, I can't fault it
The low low miles examples seem to hold there value, I even have seen a 50k for £8k!
I think i priced it farelly for the mileage, also a bit harder to find being a estate.
Now days the mileage doesn't seem to matter much, diesels are so well enginerd I think mine is just run in! If you drove her I doubt you would know it had the mileage if I hadnt of said. Love this car wish I didn't have to sell!

Seems cheap for an 06 car.
Do these 2.2's suffer the same issues as the 2.0's what with pumps, injectors various sensors etc?
They always seem to be going wrong although I read somewhere these are a lot better?
Awesome all round package as their rapid and great on fuel.

I'm not sure if the suffer the same as the 2.0, I've had her over a year and the only problem I had was the flashing glow plug light which sometimes points to injectors, but it turned out to be the egr which was bypassed first to prove it, and now has been replaced
got a 172 clio if your interested low mileage 53 plate
