you can get cosworth motorsport pistons with valve pockets good for over 600hp
for about £650 using these in my engine build. i would recommend these pistons if your building you bottom end for over 400hp standard cosworth pistons are ok but do let go when you start pushing the power

i went for the cosworth ones when i did my engine,
big valve cuts and all in them already,
so no hassle messing about with the mahles,
if you dont intend on running big cams the mahles will be more than up to the job

my advise is talk to some different tuners see what thay say for the spec you want, cosworth motorsport pistons are good for well over 600hp
seen a few engines in bits with mahles at 450 and + but theres some out there at 500+

i bought cp for my engine. realy satisfied! the engine has produced 450+hk on trackdays after trakdays. the engine has been taken up for check several times, and pistons is looking good.
it is very importent also, how you threat your engine, and how your tuner map the car .

standard mahles are perfectly fine for that sort of power, you can have the machined for valve pockets

anything over that power level then CP pistons would be my choice
