Sierra Cosworth Brakes go hard
The front handbrake warning light comes on and the brakes go really hard and don't work hardly.
I think its a fuse that need correcting but the Haynes doesn't seam to cover the issue.

You are correct, or it may be something more serious, i.e. pump etc.
The fuse is behind the passenger dash, 30A, you may find this has melted
Some clip on underneath the dash, but you may need to remove the 'lower fascia' otherwise.
The warning lamp is illuminated due to low pressure.

I took the lower dash out.
There were numerous fuses and relays.
Is there any directions to its location.
Colours anything.
is there anything in the standard cars that are the same in the Haynes so I could get the wiring schematic looked at.

Yes, they are exactly the same as lesser ABS models!
Your looking for a 30A fuse (Green) all the other electrics are for the fuel pump, ECU, heated screen etc, you can just test each fuse in situ, that will be easier than tracing wiring etc.

I had some time for a proper look.
I did solder all the wires that were badly connected under the dash though.
Last night had a read of the abs section.
Last thing I did , the main power with the rubber boot at the bottem of the abs had disconnected.
Simpley plugged it in.
Well sorted that and the new clutch cable snapped at the foot pedal end.
So I still have something to fix.
