Default Our loft conversion from start to finish.

Noticed a few people putting up there DIY/extension projects, so I thought I'd bore you with mine
After the shock arrival of our third baby, we had to make a decision on what to do with the sleeping arrangements. We didn't want to move as we'd struggle to find a 4 bed house in a similar location with views and the same amount of garden, without massively increasing the mortgage. For me I'd have bought some bunk beds, but she reckons the age difference between the lads and that boys and girls can't share after a certain age wouldn't work. So we decided to go for a loft conversion. The build went pretty much to plan apart from having to take the chimney stack down before it fell down. Most pics were taken with the phone

Here's how it looked before we started

A couple during

The steels going in

taking the roof off for the dormer

The dormer going up

Stairs in a bording out

Think the sparks must have been pissed up when putting the lights and sockets up

And all finished

Views from out of it

They are 700x1300. We've not got round to putting blinds up yet

We didn't move up till the beginning of November so not had a summer up there yet. Had a lot of wind and rain, which sounds good at night

GPL M08. When looking on the net it work's out cheaper to get Velux blinds from a supply than direct from Velux.
