Default Are 2wd and 4x4 downpipes the same?

Are after market stainless cosworth 4x4 downpipes and cosworth 2wd downpipes the same?

Will be making up my exhaust system once the engine is back and plan on using a stainless downpipe if I can find 1 second hand as I can cut the 3 bolt flange off and weld on a v-band

I'm using a 2wd manifold but a 4x4 gearbox if that makes any difference

It's only the standard downpipe I plan to use if its feasible and I can find a good second hand 1

Thanks
Marc

No mate totally different, 2wd runs down the o/s of the gearbox and the 4x4 comes across the box

To use a 4x4 down pipe on a 2wd manifold some add piece in to raise the flange higher but I've never had a problem without adding a piece in but may depend on make of exhaust.

just get one make, wouldn't take much to get one tacked together and then tig'd up afterwards.
only need a couple of mandrel bends and a bit of straight pipe, got to be better than butchering a sierra item.
