only joking mate had the dreaded front pas pipe burst on Christmas Eve. Just got one made to get me by till the weather is better then am gonna get the full thing and get the bumper painted when its off again.

im guessing it has a decat? with a standard engine and just an exhaust do the rs2000's pop and bang like that or does it have an omex to cut the spark?

Not too bad mate bumper off jobby that's the hardest part. Seems a common problem bottom pipe rusts out. Will be in touch about the blue fin want to get some other things done first ie wheels, bumper and bonnet painted.
Absolutely loving it though.

 

i was only having a laugh saying a sports exhaust.it has a mk1 frs engine with omex ecu and standard gt 25 turbo,its sitting at 295hp just now.thanks

I get lots of enjoyment out of my mk6 2wd. It has an exhaust, de-cat and modified air filter box. Slightly drilled by my d.i.y self. They can catch a few cars out. I was following a Golf ED30 (220bhp roughly) from work just before Christmas, and the owner commented that he couldn't believe I was with him to 130 ish. A better driver would have done me, but he said it wasn't bad for an old car. I say 130 because my speedo said 140. Got to compensate for the old clocks, eh.

Edited to say that the Golf owner works with me and has had a couple of blasts with/past me. Golf sounds good I must admit. Bet it wasn't as twitchy either.

 

Your's is turbo'd I take it. Mine pops and bangs when cold, but you have added a Habenaro into the mix, surely.

 

my original engine which had a decat, power flow exhaust drilled airbox,and the egr removed from the manifold (which made the biggest difference).did a standing start with a civic ep3 which had a spoon exhaust and manifold(sounded amazing :O and was side by side till 90 mph,then he started creeping in front .rs2000's are not slow by anymeans if these mods r done.it was a fRS engine in it

 

My brother keeps on at me about the EGR thing. All of his cars have been faster than mine. YOUNGER BROTHER He does run a garage, but mentioned welding. Is it really worth it?

Ok. I feel a right bell end having not read the whole thread. I was thinking about a different engine as it goes. It's good, but not quite FRS good. The 2.0 from a Fiesta maybe?

 

My brother at 25 had a 300 odd bhp Nissan 200sx while I had a Cavalier 2.0 after a ban at 28. No justice in the world, eh.

 

The engine i was talking about was the standard rs2000 engine not the engine thats in it now lol.The standard rs2000 engine is quick with the above mods.
