Can anyone tell me if you can use a 4x4 diff in a 2wd Saff. If not why not. Ta

 

You can but you will need the 4x4 driveshafts as they are smaller cv joints, and the diff casing is 7" not 7.5" so will need spacers to fit, plus it is weaker than the 7.5" diff so you will just destroy it anyway, much easier just buying a decent 2wd diff.

 

Or if you are referring to a regular 2wd car, and not a Cosworth, then a 4x4 diff is pretty much a straight swap for any disc brake car.

 

Thanks for the info, will look for a good 2wd then. Easier said than done though.
