Here are some pics of my newly restored dash, bought of EBAY, which was a steal! The dash had never been fitted but had a few cracks from storage, cracks in usual places one by speaker and a few very small cracks by the heater vents.

that does look very good, was it expensive and does it look the same in the flesh so to speak. some photo's make anything look good.

 

Photo's do not give it justice, used an iphone to take pics and yes it does look that impressive in the flesh. Unedited pics straight from phone. Am a 3dr owner and a fellow enthusiast.

 

Start buying cracked dashes for bugger all get them repaired and knock them out for around a grand.

I wish mine only had small cracks in it, but they are more like railway lines

it's the only way it will be possible to get a perfect dash the way things are going. what is the cost of having this done?

 

Not sure about bigger cracks just email them and find out. The dash currently in the car at the moment also has many large cracks. It cost me Ł65 + VAT. But i guess the cost will depend on the condition to start with.

That looks like first class work - good to have a recommendation.

 

Go to website and look at the Audi dash repair with the large hole in dash, just look at the before and after pics for quality of workmanship!

 

That looks wicked... Ill joy there number down invade mine ever cracks.

 

I might give them a ring in new year as I swapped mine for a later dash and kept my old one Hoping a good repair method will be available, mines worse than that, but not to bad.

That repair looks awesome! the problem with big cracks in a 3dr or mk3 escorts dash's are that not only do they crack they also warp, if its a slightly cracked dash they can be repaired to a perfect finish, but if the dash is warped (most noticable along the ridge) then thier only really fit for the bin..

 

I wonder if they could fit the centre speaker cover in a saph dash?

Then it would look like a 3 door dash and won't warp will it?

 

Warping can be repaired to a certain extent, obviously major warping is beyond help

 

We use leather tech at work quite a bit for used car interior repair - always seem to do a good job.
