Default Let's see your Pumas!

They seem to be pretty unloved for such a cracking little car, I'm thinking of buying one for my next daily but there's no way I could keep the standard fan alloys, so I need some ideas!

So, show us what you've got

one I picked up for a mates misses, was a cracking motor and nippy with the 1.7 engine, sadly she failed to tell anyone it was leaking water and then tried to make it home on the M6 with no water in it at all!!

What size were the multi-spokes? I was thinking about going 15/16's for tyre prices.

Do the Mondeo brakes fit these like the Fiesta?

The multispokes were 17" fox 3 Evos.

Try pricing up the tyres before deciding as 16s can be more expensive than 17s

195/50/15
195/45/16
205/40/17

Mk3 mondeo calipers fit by drilling out the mount hole to 12mm then using ST170 discs. Calipers need to be shaved a tad to get under 15s

A work mate is on his 3rd in about 4 months, first one the engine light came on and it was running like crap, dont know what happened but he got another, the engine blew in that one, now he has a silver 1.7 which hes in the middle of modding.

They dont seem very reliable from what ive heard?

P.s sorry no pictures, just saw this topic and thought of my (unlucky?) work mate

Unfortunately I can't insure a FRP at the moment, plus if I had the money I wouldn't be buying one
Looks lovely though mate, what build number is it?

My mom got one almost 250.000kilometers on the speedo.
The only repair needs doing is the brake servo thats the only thing that failed in all the time she had it.

the one my missus got has 180.000km and her vvt is over retarding.
and she doesnt even notice.. as they are pricey new from fords.

so my opinion its a goood cat

Probably the only photo I have of my old Puma taken at a meet about 10 years ago or so

I had it from brand new and it was great fun, I gave it death everywhere and I managed to kill 2 gearboxes and 2 clutches on it but it was a company car Sadly it appears to be dead now though Great handling cars that needed more power, it's a shame about the image because they handle and drive so well and they are great daily drivers because they are good on fuel.
