Well thought I'd start a thread as its 4 months away till the first big show of the year!! Which is actually my favourite show alongside USC ,

Anyhow anybody who's getting a car ready for show stick a pic up of your cars progress leading up to the show!! What times your aiming for old pb,s ect or even if your a concorse boy get a shot of your car up Hopefully there should be some awesome cars there this year as last year was a bit of a let down fwd wise on the drag strip!!

I love Central Day too, always good a crack and a good turn out. The FWD fail of 2012 should be forgotten about, though we still have a good laugh at the video knocking round of Clarke snapping his shaft and then Alex following behind and blowing his car up lol

Now Alex has sold his car and Clarke is rebuilding his they won't be racing but we're pushing to get my Cortina ready for the show and it's finally coming together. Just finishing off the engine install right now. Aiming for 400bhp and into the 11s at Pod hopefully.

I was running standard cams but Lee reckons he's found a set of Cat Cams that work really well in a Zetec turbo.

 

Hopefully if i can get a few lads to come with me this year and i will come to this show.


It was funny as fook in the on site pub/bar this year. I was laughing at the lad who pulled the metal down above the door way of the pub. He landed flat on his ass.

Im defo pulling out all the stop I possibly can to get freddy ready for the pod, Central is my fav as well, mainly because of the camping and banter.

Ive camped twice now and both times it been bloody freezing.If i go next year i will be staying in a hotel.

 

ill be there next year . would like to be running up strip but if not ill take the car anyway as raj has asked if will put it on his autoflock trader stand.

Run out of funds at the moment to have it sprayed under the bonnet and have my new rear panel fitted.

Looks the same as mine Steve. Not run out of funds, just hope of it ever getting finished . You hope to have yours finished by then im absolutely certain mine wont be . Central Day 2014 is a maybe or maybe not.
Im 70 in 2015 a finished car would make a decent present so will aim for that.

Its a very long story . Let down & had money refunded after 11 months waiting on a company that i dont wish to discuss & now little chance of my car being finished quickly at MAD. Its been 17 months to date & im not getting any younger.

I would like to run the car again but in the wider world of Vmax. Wont be claiming RS records again im 67 its time to move on decided about a year ago to kill off the notorious MadRod at the end of 2012.

Rod had one of our Belgian customers in today collecting some dry sump tanks his latest yb is running a 45 mm restrictor seeing 647bhp and946 nm torque and it's a 2.0 with 2.7bar up it
