Mate of mine picked up a Bentley Continental GT today for a touch over £20k, full Bentley service history, done 90k I think that's a steal for the package.
Other options at the same power/spec/quality for the same money?
Ginge

unless you have a fuel tanker on tap these cars are outta reach in terms of running costs hence their prices, would love a another range rover myself but no way could I afford to run it again
Cheap until it breaks!
Exactly the reason I won't buy an E60 M5 as a daily. Strangely enough I ended up looking an Mazda 6 MPS's on the net last night, dirt cheap, 2.3 4wd turbo, well specced and highly tuneable for £6k, thats my sorta car, great and doesn't matter if it shits itself.

These are getting cheap too, not quite at £20k but becoming cheaper.

That's where I'm in a winner my annual mileage is 5k, that's including commuting, so economy of a car is not something I've ever had to consider when purchasing a car

Hence my next car should be something with a v8 or v12 and auto.

Would love an e60 m5 or a 996 turbo been really tempted a few times but couldn't afford to fix the fuckers if something serious went wrong they may be cheap now but unfortunately they still carry £60k and £100k running costs.

For sale at £33900, low milage big turbos 450Bhp model... And thats expensive for a 996 turbo, a tidy one seems to be around 25k... madness really for a 100k super car.
I'm getting seriously tempted

For the pose.
Did I read there were engine issues with these 3.4's?

the second one i had went for close to the £40k asking price and only had something like mid 30k on the clock
no idea what the first one went for
and like fuck could i afford to run one of the bastards, £3k for a windscreen, a grand a pop for the lights, it killed me to get a new battery for one @£400 and i had to have a lie down when they said it was going to cost £1700 to fix the key problem
mind you, there are another 2 chaps on my road with gt's but they are minted and the old fella who has an 07 4 door drives it to the petrol station at the weekend to keep the battery topped up and spends the rest of the week catching the bus using his freedom pass
epic epic motoring though, you feel like you are king of the world in one of them and you know that when it comes to the traffic light grand prix, not much will beat you so you don't even bother, and i didn't either when the mpg was maxing out at 6.9 pottering around town
and that's what's going to kill these expensive motors, anyone can buy them, it's the cost of running them that no one considers when they are handing over the folding

Fair point GUV!!!
So perhaps http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...ge/2?logcode=p
Could fit the bill?
One breakdown and she's a scrapped though, although at that size you'd probably get 1/2 of the outlay back!!!
