Default New member saying hello with a Sapphire!

Hi all! finally got myself on a ford forum, owned my sierra for about 3 weeks now, absolutely loving it!
Only 17 so its alot of car for someone my age

Here's some pics;

(ignore my poor nova in the background)

Its a 2.3 16v (ignore the spark plug cover) on a lightened flywheel. 4 branch and half cossie exhaust.

Fully pollybushed, koni springs and adjustable shocks all round.

Rs 7 spoke wheels.

every thing is cosworth as you can see etc etc.

Just wondered if anyone on here knows anything about the car? would be a great help

charlie

Lol I wish......i had 400 bhp at 21. I could make them shit there little knickers just didnt like taking them off for the Saph. The women that the Saph pulled me were all a little more streetwise lets say

All the lads loved it all the girls hated it, i just knew i was the only one knocking on the door of 150 mph so i cared not hahaha

I'd love to run big power like that! But I'll leav it a year ish soon!
I'm in the process of buying a 4x4 cossie that's rotten beyond belief for less than £500... Just gotta tell him when I want it! Thats going in mine

Who do you have your insurance with?

I can't get anything less than £6000 on my 1.6 sierra and I'm 18 driving nearly a year

Can't remember who my insurance is with, I'll get back to you!

Not my first car, have had many before this but this is my second car on the road, first was a nova then this!

Been offered a very cheap set of twin 45's on the correct manifold, not sure wether to go for them as everyone is saying how awful they are on fuel!

You wouldn't even get that Saff insured in it's original factory spec for £1500 at the age of 17.

DVLA have it registered as a 1.6, so too then will your insurance.

Be carefull matey.

lovely looking car.
when i was 17 i ran a few quotes on some sierras and i couldnt get one. prices started at around £2000. Not to bad considering what some of my mates paid at the time but still to much.
i settled for a fiesta mk1 1.1L i could insure for £980 iirc.
how on earth you have insured this i dont know! is it down as being a standard car?

My 1.8lx cossie replica cost me £2300 to insure when i was 17, and that was as a named driver on my dads insurance. That was back in early 2008.
