Default Mk6 Fiesta Question.

Hi all, I have just bought an 05plate Fiesta Zetec S TDCI to use while I sort my Cosworth out. It’s the preface lift model. Now I’m told that the facelift model has one touch indicators? As in you press it once and it indicates 3 times? Do you know if this is true, also would I be able to fit this to mine?

I’m also lead to believe that the head lights from a facelift will bolt straight on, but the rear lights needs the plug changing? Is there anything else that would fit from the facelift?

Thanks in advance Terry. x

On the mondeos you need to change the GEM module to get the one touch indicators to work, I presume it is the same with the fiesta!

Ive just had a quick look on ebay the GEM module seems to point to the GEM MODULE REMOTE CENTRAL LOCKING UNIT or are there more than one?

The GEM controls the central locking, interior light delay, wiper intermittent delay, indicators, hazard lights etc. Basically anything on the car that requires timing or a sequence to be followed etc is done by the GEM.

Would this not mean id need to have my key resync? Or dose this just control the lights when i lock it? Sorry if it seems a silly question.

It will still work to start the car but if you have remote locking then you will need to re-program it. It is quite easy though the procedure should be in the owners manual.
