Mine was bought up on Mobil 1 and then weened onto Castrol a few years ago.

I use Castrol RS 10w60, and change it as soon as it starts to darken.

Not cheap, but then neither's a new engine.

Get mine from Brown Brothers in Dartford in SE London.
Approx Ł128 for a case of 4 x 4 litres last time I bought.
Good stuff, maintains remarkably good pressure when hot.
Hope i've been helpfull.

Next time you want some Castrol RS 10w-60 4 x 4ltr Ł121.99 delivered from me.

However you can do a lot better then this oil for less money.

Cheers

Simon.

oilman: do you sell to ppl overseas?
I have just bought some Selenia SAE 1010W-60. 4 liters cost me Ł39?
Or would silkolene pro S 10w 50 be a better choice?

Spot on, if you want the best in terms of quality and grade, the Pro S 10w-50 is it.

Cheers

Casper,

The Silkolene is a much higher spec than the selenia, the 10w-50 is a better grade then the 10w-60, as the SAE60 is a little too thick when hot.

To get if from us would cost a fortune, contact your local fuchs distributor, they will be able to get you Silkolene.

Cheers

Guy.

Fuchs Silkolene are advertised as motorbike oils - the only 10W-50 they have is listed as PRO 4 PLUS SAE 5W-40 / 10W-50.

Is this the same product?

Yes, effectively it is.

The only difference is it has an addative for wet clutches.

You can use the bike oil in a car but not the car oil in a bike.

Cheers

Guy.
