You can pick a half decent one up for 2k, I've been looking at them again recently, 3k can buy a really nice car

Put the details on this thread, it won't hurt, your a gold member. I've been offered some nice black ones but would prefer silver as its easier to look after.

I paid Ł1400 this time last year for a 02 in black with 91k and FSH. Interior was a bit grubby and it needed a wheel bearing but other than that it was a good deal.

Prices seem to have risen a bit since then tho - a lot of car for the money. Only downside for me is the white parts of the interior - a bit of a nightmare to keep clean.

I do fancy one as a run a round but I may opt for a 306 diesel so it's cheaper to run and can be left anywhere

Bought my Lemon yellow 53 plate Vrs last month, 100k, full skoda service history and had the belts and water pump done 20k ago for Ł2200, was a bargain though, was a px to clear.

2nd one ive owned, cracking car for the money imo.

If you've bought it I'd suggest that when you do it's next oil change you whip off the sump and replace the oil pick up pipe. You'll be amazed at the amount of shite in it and the sump - even on a car that's been services bang on schedule. It may also have been one of the contributing factors to the turbo shitting itself.

My one has been passed on to my old man and has 107k on the clock now but he loves it.

That really depends on the price of the fuel

MPG is an accurate measure, miler per Ł means fuck all with the volatile nature of fuel prices

Well since I came back from holiday a few weeks ago to find my lwb mk3 shogun missing I have been looking at these.Seem like quite a lot of car for not much money.Dare I say its either one of these of a Vectra sri turbo in my sights.I should imagine both with remap shoud go ok.Its never going to pull your hair back but trying to find another 4 door saloon with bit of go is hard work .A new job in the new year so another Sapp will sort this I suppose but not as a daily this time around.
