I have a Nikon D40 just with a standard lens on, come to use it the other day and for some reason I can alter the lends it doesn't want to twist, stuck on the most zoomed.

I have took it off and had abit of a faff with it, tried to turn it the otherway and its not having it I've put quite alot of force behind it but it feels like it will break if i crank it up another notch rather than fix itself.

Any ideas or time for a new one...
