its my bros car an one day car cut out,so got towed home,then some guy came out hooked computer up and said its one of your injectors,so he took said injector out took it away said £300 and SHOULD sort your problem,come back 2 days later and refitted injector and programmed it in,car then ran but rough,like sounds like bag of spanners,any ideas? before it get weighed in

 

Unfortunatley eBay is full of problem tdci,s weather it be injector,fuel pump or some running or none starting issues.Seems they are costly to investigate or fix.Whack it on the bay spares or repair.I got £700 for an 05 plate mondeo which wouldn't,t start.No money in mondeo,s at all

 

you have to get all the injectors coded properly and make sure that you buy properly reconditioned injectors or brand new ones

Assuming the injector is good then he's not programmed it in correctly. It's very hard to do it correctly, and even when you do it 'properly' the code doesn't always take, especially if it has flagged up an injector fault code.

The fault code needs to be clear before you can add the injector code - and even with the correct Delphi kit it's not easy, not straightforward to do.

He needs to take it to a diesel specialist ideally.
