Default Sapphire FM radio antena, is it amplified

Take it, it uses the rear screen heater element?

If so is there a powered amp somewhere for it, as my reception isnt that great.

Remove the parcel shelf tray and it sits under the rear window just underneath.

antennas have come a long way since the old days of the rubber duck and the telescopic replacement the coat hanger , some good company's around now that do good internal covert ones, yours may be lacking something as simple as a good earth

Totally disagree, I find the reception to be very good.

It's a good idea as well as it resolves the issues of external antennas in terms of vandalism etc.

OP, first make sure you have power to the amp, the aerial is within the windscreen so make sure this is not damaged and has good connections.
