I did have my E61 up for sale a little while ago but decided that nothing comes close to it in terms of its all round practicality. Its fast when i need it to be, can carry pretty much anything i need it to, dog fits in the boot.
Not much else around for the sort of money this cost me so she had to stay. One of my gripes though was the standard alloy wheels, imo they just don't suit the lines of the car at all. I am a big fan of the spider style alloys though and they were the perfect choice as they look better, but still oem.
So, from this...

To this...

They aren't genuine but they are almost new with brand new tyres and also 20".
To say im happy with the way they have transformed the car would be an understatement. Im over the moon

I do like those alloys a lot and think they really suit the E6x range loads. Sod buying tyres for them though especially in 20" form! Friend of mine has an E92 330d M-Sport with the optional 19s and for the rear tyres....Ł310 per corner
I have a black 535d M Sport saloon, same shape, with the 19" spiders on it, looks great. But what's really transformed the motor (which is carbon met black FYI) is having the wheels powder coated gloss black!! Drop 30mm all round (no loss of ride comfort whatsoever!!) and spacing the back wheels out 10mm either side. Looks wicked IMO.
Great improvement on yours too buddy, great cars!!

cheers guys. To be honest i was a little worried about them looking ridiculous but the arches have just swallowed them up so they dont look to bad imo.
Minirotty, it was seeing your thread about your one that swayed it for me as i was going for something different but these just look so "right"

As weird as it sounds in think the ride is a bit smoother, not sure if its because i used to run runflats but even with the lower profiles it just seems to ride better
Probably because you had the run flats before mate, I test drove a couple on run flats and was horrid and wasn't willing to buy one with them on.

I think its a reliability thing lol. And as much as i know its down to how a car is looked after, i just think that once you have the BMW bug its hard for anything else to come close

Cheers guys. I shall be getting my flaps removed along with egr and then off for a remap.
Tiff, I'm actually looking to get carbon fibre grilles as well a a rear diffuser. Hoping that it won't look too chavvy. Seems to look ok on m sport e9x tourings so fingers crossed
