Default Gunk'd engine bay and tucked away for the winter

What with my priorities of the last year being my first child and really not having time to spend keeping the car in as good a condition as I would have liked, I've decided to take it off the road for the winter and spend a bit of time tidying it up rather than battling with keeping the salt off it!

Gave the engine bay a brush over with some gunk degreaser and a rinse off, followed by some AG vinyl and rubber dressing.

This was followed by 50psi in the tyres, reversing into the garage and pulling off of the battery for a bit of hibernation.

Before

After (light was crap so had trouble with getting a good pic)

See you in the spring!

I've got a mk3 mondeo diesel, it's a bit of a shed but does 550 miles on a tank of juice and is a damn sight more comfortable to drive than the focus

Looking good mate! Have you tried using Aerospace 303 protectant or PoorBoys (could be Chemical guys) Bare bones? simply spray on and let dry....the finish is AMAZING!

i did look at the aerospace 303 but it's very expensive! After seeing reviews of the AG stuff they reckoned it's very good and much cheaper so thought it was worth a shot!

Yeah most of them are the same initially to be honest! I found the Bare Bones and 303 last the longest (Bare bones has been on my wifes car for around 2months and its still beading water and minty clean!)

Needs 400 quids worrh of tyres putting on it, tax and needs paint on the front end too. Been spending time with my daughter and with her first birthday and xmas coming up i don't really have the spare time or cash for it at the mo. So putting it away for a while when the roads are shitty and i can sort it in slow time just makes sense really!
