Default Is black the new alloy?

ok now the rst was the car i hankered after when i was at school and from the little i knew about cars back then it seemed to be that the more bare alloy components you had on show the more you car was regarded as serious kit,

now is it not cool to have a big intercooler on show anymore or is understated look the new cool, i know it comes down to personal preferance at the end of the day, so just wondered what the views on this is nowadays

I've always preferred the 'Q' car look - standard looking as possible.

But that's me.

Spec-r used these as demo cars showing Chrome & Elite Black range.

The Elite range was designed for my car back in 2008.

I'm considering doing mine black partly because it's more subtle and will hide the fact it's got a big intercooler, but mostly because i'm too lazy to clean it.
