Has anyone applied for the information of their vehicle and what do you actually get?

Just trying to work out if it's worth me applying as i'm just interested in really early information in the vehicles life

For just £5 (unless it's gone up!) it's amazing value even though it takes a while to come through. Copies of all info held by DVLA on your car so can confirm supplying dealer and previous owners. Need to give a reason for wanting info - I put for "Car Club history file" and was successful so -Go for it.

as John says its helpful on finding out where your car was registered and previous owners locations etc, well worth a fiver

 

I've got the original sales receipt and some of the early stuff - it looks like the car was bought by a transport company so could well have been used as a company vehicle.

Do you just get previous owners names and addresses and the dealer the car is from? if so i have all that so will save a fiver

 

You get copies of everything that is held by the dvla. The previous log books all previous owners address, sale transfer dates etc. well worth a fiver!
