hi all ive been looking about for a little time about doing a conversion on my run around van its a 02 plate escort van but as many will know the 1.8 n/a lump is dog slow and would not outru a rabbit !

after looking about i see that i will need a turbo diesel engine from a non ecu car is this right?

also what cars came with a non ecu turbo diesel car so i know what to get the engine from ?

Get a complete doner car and swap the whole lot over inc loom inside and engine bay, the loom for the rear section of the van plugs into the fuse box. If you get a full car you can then have central locking and elec windows etc. This is the easier route and probs cheaper in the long run
So from the doner car you will take engine, box, shafts, hubs, linkage,subframe and fit it all to the van. You can use the center section of the exhaust from the car but the back box won't work so find a td van back box or go custom.
