does anyone have SECS monitor instructions that they could e-mail me please?

I was also wondering whether it is possible to change my monitor's display from blue to green?

Ive got them somewhere, see if i can dig them out for you. Anyone know where you can get the proper surround for the monitor from?

I don't know if anyone sells the surrounds anymore. I am looking to get one custom built for mine.

The reason I am after a green one is so that it matches in with the rest of the EsCos dash (I'm a bit OCD like that ).

I'll check my one today for any lost pixels etc.

Will it be easy enough to swap them seeing as you're will have a mounting for a Saph, whereas mine doesn't?

Well I went out there to double check the pixels on mine, and....... the battery is flat . So I've put it onto charge and will check it tomorrow and get back to you.

I think there have been different variations of the SECS monitors over the years, with some having slightly different features than others (ie some display the boost in psi, whereas others are in bar). I'll try to see what version mine is.

Kev - apologies for not getting back to you sooner. I just don't seem to have 2 minutes to myself these days .

I checked my monitor yesterday and all of the pixels work. It is also showing the "shift light" function, so I think it might be the same version as yours, but I didn't get round to checking whether you could switch the boost reading from psi to bar. Would it bother you if mine only did psi?

I took some pics of the monitor with the display on to show you it working if need be .

I just got some photos of mine for you. It has the shift light and psi/bar display options, so it sounds like it has exactly the same functionality as yours . The only thing I should mention is that both of the buttons on mine are black, rather than green and red.

Anyway, here are some pics:







































Some of the pics make it seem like the display is feint, but it's just my camera. All pixel are clear and vivid in real life.

Stevie - Yep, my username finally makes sense after all these years . I spent all day on Sunday washing it, only for the rain to start the moment I went to take pics. Will post some when I get a chance. It's a red big turbo EsCos (Si B's old one).

What are you running these days? Back in an RS yet?

 

Nah mate not got an rs just now.other interest to keep me busy but il never say never as I do look at them now and again.

 

I don't think you can ever get them out of your system fully. You'll be back in one - I know it
