How much do you pay to have your tyres fitted?
I have bought some tyres and i need to get them fitted how much did you pay? I rang 2 places and they varied from £10-£18 which i though was reasonable enough. Can anyone reccommend someone in Bristol.

My local garage charges £1 per inch wheel size. However my shitty old fords keep them busy enough so they do my tyres for free and just say they will fooking get me next tiime, and they normally do
i bought a set of yoko paradas off ebay last year, £200 for the set of tyres.
local place opposite work said £10 a wheel to fit and balance, i took the car in and had all 4 done, and said as your at it, fit the best tyre of the pirellis to the spare, which was in the boot so they didnt even have to take it off.
so i og to collect the car and the garage owner said they decided not to charge £10 a tyre and charged and hour labour, and £5 a tyre balancing... plus the VAT!
cost me £85 instead of the £50 i was expecting, yet had no phonecall to say they were going to charge me that!
as id have told them to fuck off as another garage said £12 a tre so i would have taken it there!
most places dont like fitting tyres if you dont buy them from the garage. a few years back bathwick tyres in chippenham wanted £5 a tyre to fit and balance if not bought from them....
they got told!!

Tried getting 2 tyres for my van, just 14" van tyres so I'm thinking about £50-55 each all in,get quoted £80,feel happy then he says that's each
Plus fitting
Plus disposal
Plus vat!!!!
Worked out over a ton a tyre, fucking madness.
Drove about everywhere, all £80 plus the extras, not even decent tyres.
I bought 2 from the scrappy than that were mint, fuck me trying to get them fitted!!!!
Again, found 2 places one wanted £15 per tyre & vat/disposal/balancing/valves etc which worked out at £50 for two!!!!

Eventually found a place down the road for £25 for the pair fitted but what an attitude on the guy,he tried telling me the tyres weren't acceptable as they were not the correct 185/90/14's despite me pointing out that the two reads weren't that profile either plus they were the same on the same axle which is fine.
Kept me there an hour trying to force me to put new on until I basically said "put the old tyres back on the rim then or I go elsewhere I'm NOT putting £200's worth of tyres on an £800 van!!!".
He did all this "don't say where you had them fitted" and "the police will give you 6 points for this" type of scaremongering crap which I played along with then fucked off, their 2 michelins and I've been back and forth to Wales twice with them with no issues or pressure loss.
Back home I use Tony's tyres up in llansamlet or Britton ferry.
Superb prices and service, part worns, specialist and anything you like for really cheap prices.
They take good care of your wheels as well which is nice.
Can't recommend them high enough.
I've never been charged to have a new tyre fitted but the general cost around here to have a tyre taken from one set of wheels and fitted to another set is £40 all in
I did a search for tyre fitters through mytyres.co.uk and found a really cheap back street place, £5 a tyre and they will fit anything and supply tyres, cheaper than the kwick fit etc
I got five cheap new tyers for my combi last year, £10 each. When they wanted £12 each to change them,,,, sod that.. I did them myself it is easy to do, but the wheels still have to be balanced after. Takes about ten minute each tyre the trick is in breaking the seal. to do this I used a spade and a long scafold bar. and there is a bin down our local rubish site for the old tyres to go in . Cheers Pete
