Default crunch time for the cab!!

morning peeps, opinions please,
I'm desperate to get back into proper rst ownership but the the cheapest way I van see this happening is to strip the cab for any parts I can swap over, sell the rest and buy an rst shell, or do I spend more on it, finish the little bits an sell it whole, think it would break my heart to undo all the hard work I've done so im in 2 minds, I know being a cab its worth fook all as a whole

Well after having a look around I've found a few shells so I think its going to get ripped apart, or I might take the running gear out and drop a zetec in it and sell it as a working car, not sure yet but either way I've decided I can't waste any more money on it

I dont want to mate as its an extremely clean an solid car but I think its the cheapest way,
The shells not gonna be worth much tbh, I'll prob get just as much for scrapping it.

put back to standard body, 2.0 zetec on EFi, done

its hard stripping a car to build another,

i stripped my beloved saff and built a RWD mk5 escort with sierra floorpan and cossie running gear, always regretted it

Putting the body back to standards not really an option if im going to sell it as it would need paint behind the side skirts, but im not too bothered there's plenty of kits about if I needed to get one, and I know what your sayin but I'll be doing it to get a better car

I like the cab but I think financially building into a nice clean 3dr shell but leaving an 1.8/2.0 zetec in the cab would make sense, more work but you'll still get ok cash for a cab running with mot etc.

This is what I was thinking, especially as zetec units can be had for peanuts

Can't you strip the shell of its running gear, build it into an RS shell, then store your cabby shell till you're happy/got funds to build/sell it how you want and keep both??
