Default Mondeo Mk3 tdci Power Steering Pump

I think my power steering pump has packed in, all I want to find out is if all the pumps are the same.
From looking on ebay it looks like the tdci and tddi are the same as each other but different to the petrol ones, am I right in thinking this?

It wasn't the pump, the belt has snapped, looked like an easy job but now I'm trying to fit it I can't see how to release any tension to fit on the new belt.
Any ideas anyone?

It's fun! That's for sure. Ideally you need one of

I already got one but the power steering pump belt is on the other side anyway, would have done it today but in 2 shops the only belt showing is too short so picking the right size up tomorrow.

Hope you get it sorted - how hard was it to steer without the power steering?

Yeah sorted now, easy with the right size belt. Had to muscle it about 1/2 mile without power steering, not too bad but wouldn't have wanted it snapping at speed, luckily it happened when I was parking.
