I'm from Portugal and i bought about one month (approximately) one Ford Escort 1.6 D 5doors

i picked the car like this




This project consists of doing a imitation of RS Turbo in one bodywork with 5doors.
Some changes that i've made:
- crystal flashers;
- lowering springs 60mm and Gas shock absorbers;
- front bumpers RS;
- quick shift;
- yellow front headlights H4;
- new back seats;
- exhaust line 60mm

 

This is the inside of my car, later will be refurbished

I would be checking glow plugs.When was the fuel filter last changed.

I like 4 door escorts.

i think it is the injection pump

 

If you have just changed the filter ... Did you fill it with diesel?
I'd say air in the fuel system

 

yh, i did fill the filter with diesel.
Right now the car starts the engine but sometimes the engine fails and i need to start it again.
i think it is the fuel injection pump because it seems that the gasoil don't get in the engine

 

I have just put my pump back on and my 1600 combi when trying to start her she sound just like yourin the video. I thing you might have timing problem have you had her runing previously before you did the fliter. Mine is now running but knocking none stop.
Both my 1600cc combi's are really hard to get the fuel back through the system when they have been stripped. I have a hand pump from my old boat tank that I use to firstly prime the filter. Good luck, Pete
