As title what are they worth as me and a mate have managed to get our hands on a red one it is very green as it has been sitting a while on a closer inspection it all seems good no rott.

 

Can make good money. My mate had a dark grey one which sold for 3 and a half grand. The guy flew up from London to buy it

 

sounds good any money made will go towards project

 

ive seen the merc evolutions make £40,000! tho the non evolutions are considerably less ive seen them between £3000-£11,000 the higher price ones being low mileage concourse ones, there is a few now on pistonheads

 

I should think that is near enough top money, they usually go for less than that!

+1 they dident make a red one in a 2.3 how ever they did make one in a 2.5 iv got one they are lovely reliable cars lol I love mine as a daily hack

 

theres 2 burgundy ones near me and they are badged as 2.5`s

so no grey one?

There a funny car to value as you see them from £1500 to £10,000

A bit like sierra cosworths there price is dependant on condition rather than miles etc

A very origonal car in good condition is worth good money

Mercs suffer from a lot of electrical issues / body rot and rear suspension issues , so buying a very good example is as hard as finding a good saff

I have been looking at the Merc cossie for a while now thinking of buying another to keep and the good ones seem to be around 5k

 

Was it Almandine? My friend has a 2.5-16 and it's that colour. It's a very solidly built car, handles well and very well tied down at the back. We've had a few good drives in Wales together

 

Yep thats the colour mine was a manual with full leather was a really nice car! and at the same time my mate had a 2.3 e30 m3 which was slower lol

 

I had one about ten years ago graphite grey kind of colour wish id kept it tbh,was a nice car to drive and considering its age pretty decent spec.
