injector's are the most common problem they went on my 2003 model
£250 each from ford
i paid £250 delivered off fleabay , bought a special tool to change them then got them set up at ford @ £92 for one hour on computer.
aint missed a beat since (touches wood)
mine used to drive great until it was under a little load ( got easier to get it to go into limp mode )
if i turned the ign off and then re started the car it would be fine for a while.
code reader said fuel pump or injector pressures so i went with the cheapest first
