In my hunt for a people carrier I've found a 52 reg Grand Espace, 42k, top spec. But, its a finance repo, been sat for at least a year (tax ran out Sept 09), and apparently it doesn't start at the min. Now that could just be a flat battery, but I'm not overly mechanically minded and apart from the battery wouldn't know what else to check, obviously fuel but otherwise I'm clueless. Now the money being asked for it, £1500 makes it an attractive proposition, but does anyone know what other likely problems there could be from sitting so long, any problems an Espace would have anyway, and is it worth a punt or forget it and walk away?
Over to you, advice on here is generally good and helpful, so give me your opinions. I don't want to get it, find its something simple like a battery but then be plagued by problems I could have found about from you guys.
