I'm looking for a new head unit for my daily. It's got some prehistoric kenwood thing in it at the moment but I want one that has ipod control.
I've looked at new ones, but all at the lower end of the price range have connections for the ipod at the front whereas I want a rear connection so the wiring and ipod can be hidden away from prying eyes of the yobbos. I'm not looking for anything motorised as it'll go wrong.
What can you suggest? Either new or something decent second hand. I also don't want millions of functions and flashing lights, just something simple and easy to use as the mrs also uses the car

Car Audi security had some Alpine decks with iPod cable for back and full control from deck for about 150.
Personally I would avoid JVC and Sony like mad. Newer Kenwoods seem shockingly poor now as well. Try and find a nice Alpine or Pioneer deck. All imho of course

Thanks for the replies. I've been looking at second hand Alpine CDE-9850Ri on ebay, seem to go for around £50. Mate of mine had an alpine a few years back and I just remember it being quite fiddly to use, not sure if this is still the case. I've always liked pioneer's but just can't find one with a rear plug for the ipod.
I used to have a pioneer HU. They're good, but too good for me if that makes sense. Wicked if you want to adjust each individual option of the frequency spectrums but With the sony, it's more basic in my opinion.
