I owned this car about 2 years ago, I put the comp th'2 on it and a brand new alloy rad, had it about a year then sold it to a guy from birmingham, it's a very good shell, never been welded nor need any, but I think one of the rear quarters has been replaced as the sealer around the boot isn't the same on both sides
If you have any other questions I'd be glad to try and answer them
Cheers Matthew

Thanks matthew, thats great, origional colour it is! although i was toying with gun metal grey (galaxy grey from house of kolor). i have built a few over the years, but this is the first time the missus will be joining in, so watch this space to see a lass actually taking an active interest into cars!..........so the car arrives tuesday so best starting to make room on the drive! more to come

hi all, yep shes all tucked up on my drive way at the moment. couple of points to sort, but nothing too upsetting apart from every wire i come across cut, u name it, its been cut.....abs...windscreen wiper...lives....headlights...the list goes on... just trying to look for a roll over jig/ spit, if anybody has one for sale? just so i can start removing years of underseal and dirt
pics to follow
i know
so after sifting through ferrari showrooms this morning i have decided shes going to be.....
NERO DAYTONA BLACK......before you string me up for not keeping original, it will look the dogs!!! plus theres a few other ferrari items going in, but still look fairly stock! Thinking brakes seats and wheels...

Had a few spare hours the other day so started on the strip down of the old girl, its come apparent she will need a full interior and exterior loom transplant as what was left in the saph was hacked to bits like something out of a chinese horror film!
Heres a few pics of how shes coming along, still looking for a roll over jig/ spit if any one has one for sale?

ok then, so all the rear beam is out, only took 5 mins as it looks like nearly every bolt was missing......ace! would of taken some pics but it started to piss it down, and i was stressed out as its got the common snapped bolt syndrome to the fuel tank
. decided against the ferrari lark as i like my fords to stay ford, however i am sticking to the colour, its a stunning colour and looks factory, just better quality and a deeper shine, i dont want to put all my blood sweat and wallet into my car and it look like every other at the show, thats got to be fair right? any comments are welcome, could do with a pick me up lol.
Looks like you've been very busy, keep up the good work.
As for the colour, You can still make a car stand out from the crowd even in original colours if you put alot of effort into it
Have you get any examples of the colour though and what it'd look like on a sapph?

i can see your point but some of the builds ive seen on this forum are beyond comprehension, and as i dont think im that bad at throwing a spanner around, some of the talent on this forum belongs with nasa! anyways, i tried to upload a pic of the colour on a ferrari in the sunlight but photobuckets is having a bich fit at the moment. As far as im aware it would be the first one in this colour! just want it not only to be different, but what i want too, as im not going to sell it, but obv keeping the car looking like a ford! judging by lack of comments it doesnt look like people agree, just hope i havnt burnt my bridges on here allready as i reckon i will need advice and encouragement along the way on this one, as ive never atempted a build from this "bare of all bare" shell before. Thanks for the spur on
not a fantastic update this evening but had no time on the car due to some thieving bŁ!tards nicking my cast iron gates!!! i mean come on! good job they left the sierra! so on trip to my mates farm, a gate stood 10 years, bit of concrete, grinder and welder to make the hinges, and wala! a gate, 2 coats of white down probably 20 more to go....on my way back from the farm i decided to call in on my weekly round of pleading with a chap to sell me his cosworth thats been sat on his drive fo ten years, the first time i went to see it i was too young to drive! so hears a fw pics of the rear beam out, my half painted gate and the sorry 4x4 cosworthsat on his driveway......note the sierra carpet acting as a paint catcher

I know the first 5 owners Of this car and 2 are off here the main one being nick Lopez who worked @ msd for many years and msd used it as a development car for much mapping , I also maintained the car for about 4 years was a beautifull car when complete and was a mint shell too can not believe its stripped
Haha! That's my old saff, been a while since ive seen that, was a real minter, still got my/kennys home made breather on it in earlier pic, and the white tape on strut tops to stop strut brace scratching, I put that there many moons ago!

Looks like an interesting build. The black colour would look nice.if its the one i think it is its got a nice metallic flake in the sun. Would be nice on a set of grey th2's with a big setof ap's behind them with mint plastic grey trims and standard lights
thankyou for your kind replies
means a lot! she will be up and running asap!
Nick is there any chance you could post some pics of her on this thread of what she looked like in your hands? would be nice to see it, also where abouts are you based please? as i think i may need a hand when it comes to the setu of it and the last little niggles i will probably need help with.

Scrap lads have been round again so all my bits are in the living room over night....4 doors bonnet boot front x member and suspension and rear beam and diff......the missus is not happy!!! Post pic tmz
i bought it std with 62k on clock, gradually worked my way down modding route, handling and tuning/tweaking ending with blacks t34etc, went extremley well, 38psi spike got things going nicely, including gearbox sadly! . If anyones cosworth runs an msd map with t3 or t34 greens or blacks your map was more than likely developed in these cars, live on the road over hundereds of mapping hours. Deffo two of the best "workin class" saffs ive ever worked on at the time, best of luck gettin the old beast back on the road mate, and fair play for takin it on, look forward to sein the progress.
