Default what diff ratio? pictures inside of car

some progress made since these pictures were taken

ok its a 2.0 twincam with standard exhaust and type 9 box with a new clutch
im running an lsd but not sure what ratio

in the wet it just about diffs but is a total no go in the dry the diff is tight

i have another 6.2 diff there from a 4x4 cozzy maybe this would be better

what ratios do you fine people suggest? and where would i find these?

should be 2.0 twincam, MT75 gearbox, 3.9:1

if its type9 you need to state gear ratios to give an indication on suggested diff ratio

Sean.

The 2.8 will probably have a 3.62, most V6s did. What do you want to achieve? To be able to go round and round in circles? Just get a 3.92 from a 1.8 cvh, fit the drive flanges from your diff, and weld the bugger up. Plenty of smokey sideways driving.

the 2.0L XR 4x4s had a 7" 3.9 LSD as standard. I'm thinking about changing to that ratio on my Cosworth.

the 7" diff is a waste of time for what you want it for ,
get a 7.5" one and i ll tighten it for you, it ll be Ł100 but
