Got talking to a mate yesterday and he started to tell me about his brothers 911 SC that he had renovated for him. He told me how he did all the work on it and then it just sat in his brothers garage gathering dust, then a few years later his brother suggested they dig it out and drive to Spain in it to visit their parents. Anyway, my mate thought it was a bad idea due to the fact it had been sitting but in the end agreed and told his brother to get it MOTd which he did. They started looking through the paperwork which came with the car and a lot of it had the name S. Cowell on it so they did some digging and found a picture of Simon Cowell leaning on the bonnet of the Porsche. Apparently he made a fortune and bought this Porsche but then ended up somehow losing his money and had to sell the car. The Porsche dealership got to hear about the car and invited them to bring it in for a free check over and they were amazed at the quality of the workmanship that my friend had done (he sorted out the electrics, interior and a hell of a lot of mechanical issues) and even asked him how he had done some of the jobs without the special Porsche tooling. This is even more of an achievement when you bear in mind that my mate is an engineer by trade not a mechanic.
The trip to Spain and back went without any problems and last week the car was shipped to Australia as his brother is emigrating.

Bloody hell, there is a classic car dealer that had all of Chris Evans' white ferraris for sale (he sold most of his collection to buy the 250), they also had a lot of ex Eric Clapton cars there aswell. Thats the only sort of celeb story I have. (Quite shit TBH)

^^Don't. He isn't worth it. My brother did a set of tyres on Lucy (eastenders) Benjamin's Range Rover. Proper z list celeb, but he did say her tit's were fantastic.

 

My dad used to Run a British leyland dealership back in the 70s in NW london and he took a mk2 cortina in p/x from a certain Sid James against a Jag, my uncle to this day still owns the same mk2 and wont part with it, as for me I have a 1956 MG Magnette which was used in various low budget tv sitcoms and ealing style movies films of the era as a mock black police car, handed down by my dad when he died
