What pressure does a caliper use?
Hello,
So ive put back one caliper and tested it on my compressor but it only goes to 80 PSI, the caliper handles that fine but bigg red test them to 400 PSI. So there any need for this? Does the car only use so much from the start?

If we are talking about brake systems yes they use more than 80 psi. The brake line hoses I have seen are rated to about 1000psi or on some cars 3000 psi! Can you read the writing on your flexible brake hose?
I know they use alot more but i wanted to know how much? I dont have the hoses yet and i cant see the standard ones as they never come with them.
If its any help there Mondeo calipers and will be on a Fiesta.
Is there a way i can test these caliper before fitting to the car, i dont wanna test it from 100-0 lol
