Default Driving to Malta

Just drove to Malta and can honestly say never again

Practically pissed it down all the way Italy, then got to scicily and it was 48 degrees, plus the bloody beggers washing your windscreen. Every traffic light stop and tramps wanting your money,

Can't wait for the trip back

There were some shocking roads in scicily, they were just gravel in the middle of some olive groves, and the signage was appalling not to mention the driving of other motorists lol

Should of taken a transporter with you and picked up a few escort shells while you were there.

Nearly 2000 miles 2 and a half days, and the reason behind it it is the mrs and her mum flew out and me and her dad drove to bring a load of stuff for the flat we stay in when we come ie. air conditioners and such, stuff you wouldn't get on a plane but at least it's all here for next time

Lol, Malta is a lovely place, when we went the tour guide on the coach warned us about the driving standards. Straight after she said it we arrived at a roundabout with a crash on it.

Drove to Rome and back many years ago in the RST which was an experience I treasure.

I guess you miss the point of wanting to drive then ?

Taking a car onto a plane is pretty expensive.

I can understand a nice road trip, but driving to maltas gotta be complete shite, well the OP confirms that.

Just wondered why? And he said to take some crap out to a place out there, still gotta have been better to freight ship it out there and fly . Guessing he will be doing that in the future.

Maybe he's leaving the car there too for transport ?

Any road trip could be considered shite too though. I'd love to drive to Malta...although I'd be driving there to race as well as for the road trip. Maybe some day, but it would be a bloody expensive trip.

Ive also posted heavy stuff to/from Malta before. Certainly from Northern Ireland it was a total ballache. Might be easier shipping from England though

Never had the pleasure of shipping anything, but can't imagine it's that straight forward ,

Still just driving a few miles to work, is a shite road trip for me, probably not looking at it the right way

Flying all day long, ( tho I'm someone who used to fly to Blackpool for a lads weekend) as driving or trains was a chore 26 mins flying time!

Tbh i would enjoy it if I was driving a cossy, but not a Citroen C4 Picasso with a passanger driver who flaps when you go over 100kph

If I ever did it again it would have to be in a high performance car
