Default I raced at snetterton at the weekend supporting the british GT championship

And it didn't go to plan lol

Got there mid afternoon on the friday after a 5 hour drive and set up camp

then looked at the campsite of the Gt / F3 drivers lol

had a look round the gt cars but only took 2 pics

signed on and got a programme to find a nice piece about me in!

saturday came and I went out in qually to find the car missfiring over 20psi boost

somehow I stuck it 6th out of 34 on the grid for race one, ahead of lots of cars on slicks and wings etc and even a 750bhp evo with a drenth sequential box and 130k in it lol

the 5 ahead of me had all tested on the friday I was fastest of the non testers which I was well proud of considering I only got one really fast non missfiring lap in

tried to fix the missfire but could find nothing obvious

Just before our race the heavens opened to a monsoon
one of the commentators then predicted a win for me because i was 4wd!! no pressure then!

got a flying start and got level with the front row then it missfired

got pushed wide onto the grass at agostini on lap 1 and then ended up falling down the order to 13th in very very slippy conditions still got 3rd in class tho

race 2 the next day and still the car missfired :headbang:
started 15th on the grid as my 2nd best qually time was 4 seconds slower than my first (thats how bad the miss was lol)

went backwards until I tried too hard at the hamilton kink and spun stalling the car in the process, spent what felt like ages restarting it loosing lots of places in the process, got going again but mud on the wheels cause an horiffic vibration and I couldn't push on, eventually limping home 23rd.. and 6th in class

Overall a great weekend mixing it with the top end of british motorsport

Circuit facilities were very good and fantastic track which is a real power circuit and would have suited my car in full health big time..

The car is getting dropped off at reyland tommorow for martin and tony to sort it once and for all

sorry for the long winded report but I felt the event was so big for me it deserved it!

steve
