Don't know if anyone can help me out got the van on the road for the first time in 7 years and it seems like the bottom of the struts are hitting the cups in the shocks over largeish bumps
I'm running New koni shocks and what I assume are standard rst springs. I've taken the shocks off and made sure there fitted correctly etc but still the same.
Its almost Like the springs are too soft and not allowing any damping. Anyone had similar problems? Any info appreciated.

Here's a few pics......
As you can see it's not particularly low....

Do these look correct?

In fact who did all the work on the car if it was you then if I was you I would get some 1 that knows what they are doing to check the whole car out cos if you fitted the springs then I am sorry but you clearly dont know what you are doing

My bad, tbh I just took them straight off the original shocks and fitted them the same way which i thought was correct. Hence the overspray. I'll swap it round Immediately! Thanks for your help.

I'm certainly no mechanic. Purely a hobby and an interest for me and I must say I have made many mistakes over the years (don't we all?) but feedback from others etc is how we learn. I knew something wasn't right and seeked advice from knowledgeable guys on here to rectify this problem. Trust me I'd I thought for a second that I would be putting myself, passengers or other road users in danger I wouldn't drive it! thanks for the helpful advice anyway guys
will get it sorted ASAP!
I've found that using a parts catalogue shows the break away drawing of how parts fit together, I'm sure there is a ford version of a online ecat or I can use my work log in and get you the images to help you, we all fuck up at times when working on cars, we have even had a few members over the year either get seriously injured and one I can remember died under his escort cosworth so it is a serious thing to consider when working on potentially dangerous machines
We do all learn from it, i have done a few stupid things too including almost slipping my clio off a car ramp when setting the camber ect and some things I have forgotten about
Oh and forgot to tighten up my gearbox sump plug once after fitting the fucking gearbox
