Specifically turbo technics upgrades.
Took a wheel off mine to change a cv boot and found these



There roughly 280-290mm with a seperate hub and some sort of bracket between hub and caliper. I know turbo technics offered a bigger front brake upgrade but I have never seen one

 

Next question is where do I get replacement discs when I need them? I think the pads are escos/4x4 saff.

 

What motor are they on?

 

callipers are 4x4 saph / st24 but never seen the discs before mate iirc should be 283mm thow

 

I Agree with the above, 4x4 cossy calipers on 2wd 283x24mm discs.

 

The hub offset isn't enough for 2wd discs though. The discs are virtually flat. The car is a 1990 xr4x4 with a turbo technics f73 kit on it.

 

They were specific to turbo technics and offered with the twin turbo conversions so you need to speak to them about the replacement discs and stuff
I think they machines the hub as well but can't be sure as all my paperwork for this is at home and I'm not
But as far as I can remember that is the score from back in the early 90's when they were offered as part of the deal

just a thought... could you not change the hubs to 4x4 cossy hubs and 260mm discs and re-use the calipers? Save the ball ache in the future.

 

would have to use 283mm discs from a 4x4 to match the size of the callipers

 

But are they not 4x4 cossy calipers and the 4x4 cossy used 260mm vented discs? I would guess that's why there is no ware on the inner dia of the disc.

 

Is alan Jeffries still on here? I know they took over the turbo technics stuff. Standard xr discs are
260 mm. Cossies are 280mm.

My bad 278mm your quite right. Sorry dudes! Still would it not be easier to change the hubs?

 

The hubs are machined to take the discs so you'd be binning a bit of engineering

He just wants to know where he can get replacement discs from

 

Pretty sure TT machined the discs themselves, get yourself over to http://www.fordpower.org.uk/forum2/ and ask as they went through this a while back

 

Just waiting for admin to authorise my registration.

 

Minker Dave on Fordpower is the guy to speak to. He has identified some Peugeot discs which will fit with some minor mods.
