As above a week before fordfair (on my FRST), whats the best way to modify/improve/replace it peeps?

mk5-6 escort peddle works mint mate . i done this mod on my frst

 

How do you do the mod mate

 

it uses the allen bolt for the adjuster and works perfect

 

How do you change it all

 

tbh mate it was 2yrs ago i had done this but from what i can remember i used the escort peddle with allen bolt adjuster it uses a black ratchet part thats fitted in the peddle. i think i welded a nut on the end of the bolt and it was the nut that pushed on the ratchet part and pulled the cable?
BUT after doing that work to get that peddle to fit and work i took it out a few months later and modified the mk3 peddle cos i didnt like the shape of the escort peddle. ( it has a slight kick to the left ) which took it to close to the heater matrix if i remember rite. if u have a welder and are a little handy with moding things its a simple job mate.

 

Is there not a kit / guide etc from burton?

 

The escort pedal is not a direct fit in to the fiesta

 

cant remember 100% but wasnt far off and didnt take long to fit . was better of moding the mk3 peddle to start with tbh but a little more work was involved with welding, cutting etc

I need to sort it as its making my clutch drag now :-(

Have just ordered a revised peddle+ parts where you bin off the plastic ratchet totally, read up about it on FT.com

 

You can get ally clutch quadrants other wise.

For the ultimate solution you want a mk5 zetec s pedle box and go hydro clutch. Sooooo much better.
